The Training provided

We understand that the more training is provided, the more competent staff are and the more confident they are in caregiving, directly affecting the level of trust the service user gives our staff and putting us in the best possible position as a care providing organisation. We also provide training based on the recommendations from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and train our staff in the following:

  • Infection Control
  • Gaining consent
  • Health & Safety in the Care Home
  • Risk Assessment Health & Safety
  • Moving & Handling Theory
  • Moving & Handling Practical
  • Fire Safety 1: Hazards & Prevention
  • Safeguarding
  • Emergency First Aid in the Care Home
  • Effective Hand Hygiene (including Infection Control Induction Exercises)
  • Medication in the Care Home
  • Security covered in Health & Safety in the Care Home
  • Food & Hygiene

Our Homecare Managers monitor and engage in weekly reviews with carers to track progress and to harness effective communication.
